The reasons for caring about abused, neglected, abandoned or homeless children are complex, but an excellent start would be to focus on a humanitarian level since these children are typically defenseless and dependent human beings ranging in age from infant to 18 years old. They are often under-represented in the court system which is the focus of the Guardian ad Litem Foundation (one of our collaborators) which functions as the voices of the children who are unable to speak for themselves. These children are often assigned to the foster care system which results in them being separated from their biological family including siblings which can have long-term consequences later in life. From a financial perspective, if they are unable to sufficiently recover from personal tragedy and loss, they may become consistently dependent upon  the health care system or society in general due to a limited access to education, a lack of job skills, or underdeveloped coping strategies.

By 2022, we are projecting to add at least 1200 more teddy bears to the number that we are currently giving to abused, neglected, abandoned and homeless children. Thank you for helping to fund our vision to provide more than 600 children annually with an unlimited supply of teddy bear hugs and snuggles.
